The Strategy Research and Policy Analyst plays a strategic role in expanding P-1 India’s presence within the startup ecosystem.
This position combines ecosystem partnership building, policy and scheme research, and internal knowledge management — ensuring our teams stay ahead of government updates and our business development efforts are fully empowered with accurate information and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnership Development
- Identify and build relationships with incubators, accelerators, startup hubs, and co-working spaces (especially free or government-supported ones).
- Establish partnerships and MoUs to position P-1 India as a preferred government funding consultant.
- Represent the company at startup events, expos, and innovation summits to expand our ecosystem reach.
- Policy & Scheme Research
- Track and analyze new government schemes, grants, and policies relevant to startups, MSMEs, and entrepreneurs (Central & State level).
- Maintain a knowledge repository summarizing scheme objectives, eligibility, benefits, and deadlines.
- Provide periodic reports and actionable insights to leadership and the sales team.
- Knowledge Transfer & Training
- Conduct regular training sessions to educate sales and consulting teams on new policies, schemes, and opportunities.
- Simplify complex government information into easy-to-use internal briefs and FAQs.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate accurate scheme details into outreach materials.
- Sales Enablement & Toolkit Preparation
- Develop sales kits, brochures, scheme comparison charts, and pitch templates for client engagement.
- Ensure alignment between research insights and the company’s service offerings.
- Support the business development team with updated data, materials, and talking points.

- Excellent communication, research, and presentation abilities.
- In-depth understanding of India’s startup, MSME, and funding ecosystem.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to policy detail.
- Experience in partnership management, public policy, or startup consulting.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and presentation tools (PowerPoint, Canva preferred).
- Self-driven, organized, and collaborative mindset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Business Administration, Economics, or Management.
- 2–6 years of experience in research, ecosystem partnerships, or startup/government project management.
- Prior experience with incubators, accelerators, or policy advisory work is highly desirable.
